Emergency crews have closed all southbound lanes of I-35 just north of Chouteau Trafficway after a multi-vehicle wreck spread asphalt all over the interstate. Kansas City fire officials said one of the vehicles involved in that wreck was a dump truck hauling asphalt.That dump truck overturned, covering all southbound lanes of traffic with asphalt. Emergency crews expect southbound I-35 to remain closed for quite a while as they work to clean this spill.Motorists need to find an alternate route. Fire crews said four people were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries as a result of this wreck.
